A Gif Library: Gif.gy
I’m busy these days with Gif Lingua and building a “gif corpus”, a collection of gifs that perfectly describe human experience. Daunting task but I’ll be inviting many others along this journey in the coming months. Up to over 60,000 perfect gifs in my library. That’s already a whole lot of words ….
I’ve previously spoken with the Gif.GY guys at MIT about their cool gif project. They have been doing the same as me but in a limited fashion. Trying to find the perfect gifs that define and show each human emotion. They survey users and use the data to refine their search. See it in action here.
I think their page would be great for students to engage and teachers could even use it to talk about the gifs and emotions. Check it out, it’s a unique resource. Also see my full gif presentation on human emotions – can your students guess the human emotion shown?
